Mammoth Cave River Styx Tour

We finally made it to the Mammoth Caves. We arrived a little early and looked around some at the tourist center. Then we met Rick, out tour guide, at Shelter A. The tour was a 2 1/2 hour 2.5 mile walk. We started at the Historic Entrance where we saw "just a waterfall" and then walked down to the rotunda. This is a huge dome area. We took one of three paths down inside the caves. Since this is the largest cave system in the world there are no stalagmites and stalactites. There is a water clock and a river that runs underneath. We saw so many interesting things and learned so much from our tour guide. He was great and made everything interesting. The pictures don't do what we saw justice. Tomorrow we're headed to Dinosaur World.
