Tom-Toms From Africa

Saturday night Phil, Logan and I were watching Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back and Logan was full of questions. In fact, he asked a lot about the Tom-Tom creatures pictured here. On his own Logan determined that they still exist today in Africa. So if you're looking to see one of these be sure to book your flight now.

Just For Kids

I'm telling Kayla how she won't be able to watch "I Am Legend" because it's too scarey. Logan says to me, "We're going to watch the dinosaur movie." I look puzzled and Kayla says, "It's Juraissic Park 3." Then Logan chimes in and says, "Yeah it's on Nicklodeon and it's just for kids!"

Ready for Marriage?

Marriage has been a topic of discussion lately with Logan and Alex. I'm not sure why but it has been. Last night Kayla, Logan and I are driving to Thai Boxing when Logan says, "I think I found someone special to marry." I asked, "Who is that?" Logan replies, "Casey." I reply, "Have you already asked her?" Logan says, "No not yet but I will."

A Little Too Tired

A couple of nights ago Phil witnessed a strange thing with Logan. Logan had fallen asleep on the couch that night and Phil had yet to take him to bed. I was already asleep at this time. All of sudden Logan got up and moved towards the downstairs and started to pee on the steps to the kitchen. (Luckily Phil stopped him before too much damage was done.) We think he was trying to get to the backyard and pee off the back patio square, which he sometimes does when the weather was warm. Phil was able to manuever him to the bathroom to finish his business and then put him to bed.

It's 75 - How Many Shirts Do You Need?

It's 75 degrees outside, or will be, how many shirts do you need? According to Logan when it's going to be 75 degrees out you need at least 4 shirts. It's important to dress in layers.

Sweet Logan

While we were gone - Phil and the boys stopped to pick up some Chinese. While in the restaurant Logans says to Phil that he needs to get two mints - one for Kayla and one for Mommy. Logan comes home and tells Phil that he needs to make a card. He writes Kayla and Mom (on his own) and then draws a picture of us. He made sure to give it to us when we got home.

Seeing Me Off Even in His Sleep

Yesterday morning Logan was seeing me off even in his sleep. Around 5:30 in the morning we heard Logan say, "Goodbye Mom. Goodbye Mom." I guess he knew that he wasn't going to be awake before I left that day.

All for a Shiney Quarter

Did you know that shiney quarters have a lot of purchase power? According to Logan they do. For a shiney quarter he wants Phil to build him a giant Transformer. But he also wants him to build him a flying car with wings out the side. All this for a shiney quarter. :)

Logan the Ladies Man

I think Logan is going to be a Ladies Man. It's funny it seems like no matter where we go he always ends up playing with the cute girls even when there are little boys around his age to play with. The first time happened while Grandma and Unca T (Uncle Tony) were visiting and they went to the jumping place. He played with the cutest little red head girl. Phil asked if she was nice and Logan replied yes and that she was cute. He brought her over to meet us and the little girl had to introduce Logan to her mother. This happens everywhere we go. I guess we'll have to watch him when he's old enough to date (at what age 35?).
